The mother of all gin gardens. The Botanical Garden pops up in the Summer and is packed with greenery and friendly faces. Based on New Bird Street, have a wander down and be spoilt for choice by the gins on offer.
St George’s Hall
The Great Hall is decorated with 30,000 handcrafted Minton Tiles. It’s a spectacular sight so whether you’re bar hopping or shopping, try and squeeze in a visit to St George’s Hall.
Do not be fooled by the plain-Jane exterior of this shop. You’ll have to be willing to queue, but the wait will be worth it for the Japanese and Korean food you will take away with you.
Berry and Rye
Part of the experience is finding Berry and Rye. It’s somewhere on Berry Street but is completely blacked out. The atmosphere is laid back and bluesy and the cocktails are among the best in the city.
As wonderful in the sun as it is by night, it’s one of the most beautiful spaces in Liverpool and packed with tiny fairy lights. Food, music, just a drink or a chat with your pals, the gardens has it all.
Reid of Liverpool
Housed in a building built in the late 1700s, you could spend an entire day, if not more, exploring the books and wonders inside Reid of Liverpool. Block out some time as this isn’t a trip to be rushed.
